Garden News

Getting a lot of rain this month and that is drowning the garden, I hope it is not too much water. I have a lot of tomatoes to pick, they are turning fast... I am getting control over the bugs especially those eating the leaves of cabbage and brocoolli plants...

My Cat and the Table

I often have to compete for space on my computer table when she wants to look out the window. Now, I know there is everything from squirrels to birds to look at out that window, but I need my table!

The First Ones

The first tomatoes are coming in from the garden, they are maturing quickly now so it will be sandwitches and salads with lost of tomatoes. I think I may ripen these a few more days inside before eating them. More will be coming in from the plants, so I will have a good supply for a while..

Time for Tomatoes

Picking tomatoes today the size of softballs, can't wait to try them...

The Tropics

Spring has come with rains and new growth that has been maybe more than I want. With all the new growth I no longer can see some of the paths I had and even my road is about gone...

The Garden New Update

The garden has received over three inches of rain with more to come this week. Most of the plants are big enough to handle the heavy rain but some did not fare as well. With the rains, everything is growing but so are the bugs multiplying and there are more of them this year than last. But I am now picking tomatoes and lettuce and greens, I hope the pollenaters come back for the squash which is about to flower. I love gardening, what else can you do with so little and get so much...

Lucy the Cat

My cat likes to sleep in my lap and she can take on some interesting positions in her deep sleep. This afternoon I found her in this position, most "comfortable"...

Garden News

The garden is looking good so far: greens, lettuce, cabbage, squash, broccoli, and tomatoes all coming along. I also have potatoes and carrots coming up and my first ripe tomatoes. And I have some tall mesclun plants that look almost ready.
