They have been slow in laying eggs, I have had stray dogs come on my property and one of them got in the fenced pen and injured my two ducks by the time I got to the pen. I had to put the two ducks down. I have since got rid of the dog by going to the dog's owner. I also have a BB gun that I am going to start using to scare off stray dogs. As for night time predators, have had no problem and my hens come into the hen house at night which I lock up overnight.
