Warm-up Coming

A high pressure ridge of air is coming to the west and central States delivering warmer air, I and my garden are ready for it.. The east States will stay in the cold air for a while..

  1. Okay. Look at you, all warm for your garden. It is a hair early in start planting, but soon. Do good soil enrichment first, it is more than worth the effort. Till under several times for good drainage & till in a good measure of manure. Ask away on any garden questions. I actually hold a Master Gardner certificate (have for over 20 years) and my local friend Dee has a degree in horticulture. Between the two of us there is nearly nothing we cannot grow, or garden /plant problem we cannot trouble shoot. I soooo love that you can have a sizable garden. Wonderful and amazing.

  2. Okay, I am not exactly new at planting....I lived on a farm for a time where we grew many foods...I know the climate here and when it is best to plant...I will only be preparing the soil this week which will include tilling, raking, and adding manure...because of the warmer climatology here, there are some things I can begin growing this month such as cabbage and greens...later in early March I will plant more when warmer air comes in and becomes more entrenched...

  4. Thank you LA, I wish I could share it with you from the eggs I get from my ladies and the food from my future garden to then hiking on my land. The cabin that my friend is moving out of...well the owner has offered it to me for rent for just $200. I think I might take him up on it and use it as a guest house or a meeting place to gather and just "hang out" for drinks and eats...

  5. Wise move. Take it at $200. Not only does it expand your property, it keeps anyone too strange from moving in next door. Guest house? Humm....now there is a possibility.
