The March Freeze

The arctic invasion made it into central TX and dropped the temperature here to 22 by morning today. I did not expect it to be that low, however, I immediate took a look at my plants in my garden. Frost was everywhere and on the plants, so as soon as the temp was above freezing, started watering all the small plants. The greens and carrots I planted can usually make it as long as the temp does not stay down in the low 20s. They are looking okay so far and think the hydration I gave then will help insulate from the cold, and today it will be sunny and warming into the mid 50s. A warmup is coming all next week, so I hope that is the end of this kind of arctic cold in March.
