The Watermelon is In

Decided it was time to try some of the big watermelon from the garden, it was juicy and ripe, found out how to tell when they are ripe and ready - when the stems start to die on them. Tomato plants are still going at over 6 feet high and up over the fence (I have to reach over to get some of them, think I have picked well over fifty by now). The heat has been baking my garden every day this month with no rain since over three weeks, have to water every day by hand. I can see how the heat is affecting the plants even with my watering..
